Protege - Quantity Surveyor (Kajang)

OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB

The Protégé - Quantity Surveyor will support the Group Contract and Procurement Division in key functions such as cost estimation, tender preparation, project cost control, and contract administration. This role provides hands-on experience in managing construction project costs and processes, making it ideal for graduates passionate about quantity surveying and project management.

PRIMARY TASKS

• Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets and bills of quantities (BOQ).
• Support tendering processes, including evaluating bids and preparing documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure accurate project cost control.
• Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and variation orders.
• Research construction materials, labor costs, and market trends.
• Provide support in ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely project delivery within budget.

WORK ARRANGEMENT

• Location: Taman Sutera Kajang
• Contract: 8 months
• Working Days: 6 days a week
• Working Hours: 8.30 am - 5.00 pm

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and measurement software.
• Good academic qualifications.
• Actively involved in university activities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
